Graphic Designer Jordis Small

Voyage LA Interview

This September marks five years in business for Stellen Design, so I’ve been thinking a lot recently about the journey it took to get here. A few weeks ago, I was interviewed by Voyage LA, a local magazine, and had the chance to share my graphic design story.

We spoke about everything from my early creative projects as a kid to how I got my start in fashion design (which I hated) before making the switch to graphic design and eventually going off on my own to start Stellen Design. I also got to talk about some of the struggles of working in a creative profession and running my own business.

Spoiler alert: it’s not easy, but I’ve been learning to live the ups and downs!

Lastly, I had the chance to thank a few people whose support has been invaluable in getting Stellen Design to where it is today. I really enjoyed doing this interview, and I hope you’ll check it out!
