Gabi James

Gabi James is a restaurant located in Redondo Beach, CA. They approached us in need of a website. Knowing that they didn’t need too many frills, we really wanted to create something unique and exciting. Run of the mill restaurant sites can be rather uninspiring with the about, menu, and contact pages and we wanted this site to stand out.

Throughout the design process we made a few changes to our initial blueprint. Originally, we had a white background on the entire site but after seeing the physical space come to life we knew we needed to ad more color and interest. We pulled inspiration from a sunset colored wall mural in the restaurant and created a dynamic gradient background. Overall, we were able to create a unique design that looks clean, fun, and sophisticated.

Carolina Van Gilder

Jordis Small

Creative Director

Jordis is a big believer in continued education. She makes it a point to attend at least four workshops or conferences a year to keep her skill improving. She is also a big advocate for “creative play” and loves to spend her spare time trying new things and learning new techniques.
