Tiki Kai was an entirely new concept — there was nothing like it in Hermosa Beach. The owners had a bold idea but needed help shaping a clear vision that would feel both authentic and original. Without a cohesive brand identity or creative direction, the risk was blending into the crowd rather than standing out as a true destination.
We partnered with the founders from concept through completion — crafting the brand vision, voice, and visual identity that would anchor the entire experience. Collaborating closely with the interior design team, we ensured every detail — from logo to neon signage — told the same story. The result was a cohesive, transportive brand world that felt curated, nostalgic, and undeniably fun.
Tiki Kai launched as a one-of-a-kind experience in Hermosa Beach — a modern tiki destination that invites guests to escape the everyday and step into a world of color, texture, and craft. The brand stands out as both timeless and new, instantly recognizable, and impossible to forget.

Réka is a Hungarian-born, American-trained award-winning brand designer with over 12 years of graphic design experience. She loves to incorporate hand lettering, tactile elements, or letterpress into her work. She believes inspiration is all around us and that making brands look good is a worthy pursuit in life.
