The Challenge
ICAN Coffee needed to stand on its own as a credible, inviting coffee brand while still feeling unmistakably connected to its parent nonprofit, ICAN. The challenge was creating enough distinction to give the coffee business its own personality without losing the recognition and meaning behind the existing ICAN brand.
Our Approach
We built from the visual equity ICAN already had, carrying familiar elements into the new identity while giving ICAN Coffee a personality of its own. A custom script wordmark for “Coffee” was paired with the existing ICAN identity, creating a system that feels connected but distinct — more casual, approachable, and at home in a coffee shop environment.
The Result
A unique coffee brand that feels like a natural extension of ICAN while confidently standing on its own. The new identity brings warmth and personality to the organization’s mission, creating a brand that feels just as good on a coffee cup as it does representing the impact behind it.
